More About Us
Continued from IAP Snapshot...
Currently IAP's board members are championing projects in Ethiopia and Ghana.
In Ethiopia IAP established Letta Micro-Finance Institute which provides business loans for the Gedeo people who live in some of the premier coffee growing regions of the world. IAP has developed strategic alliances with Dominion Trading Company, New Covenant Foundation and the Kale Heywet Church. In Ethiopia, we are striving to bring the project to self-sustainability within the next 5 years. We will then assess the needs of the country and if asked, will move to another area to assist in bringing economic hope and lift to that region.
In Ghana, IAP established the Sawla Children's Home. Currently there are 36 children living at the home, ranging in age from 5 to 15. The staff consists of dorm mothers, cooks, security guards and 2 directors. Many of the children are now attending school for the very first time. IAP, in conjunction with the Ghana Humanitarian Evangelistic Courageous Association, is looking at the potential of expanding the Children's Home to include vocational training for the kids as well as exploring ways to achieve self-sustainability for this project.
In order to realize this growth, it will take more business and professional people from the cultures involved to explore opportunities.
